Social Media and facebook in particular are claimed to be the holy grale of marketing in nowadays. Experts know that this channel is not optimal suited for brand2fan communication but accessing social media data might be game-changing for marketing and communications.
This speech explains chances and hurdles of facebook in the context of Brand2fan communication. On this basis a concrete path – “from Fan-Data to Social Commerce” – will be introduced, which helps brands to keep fans engaged and to lift social media to a stable business-case.

MicroStrategy (Nasdaq MSTR) is one the largest independent vendors of business intelligence software. Christian is a serial entrepreneur and has been one of the pioneers offering cloud services in Germany. Before working at MicroStrategy he founded and run dtms Solutions, which was acquired by D+S Europe where he held several management positions afterwards. Christian started his business career co-founding and managing a consulting firm within Deutsche Telekom group from 1990 to 2001.
Christian holds diplomas in mechanical engineering and information science.
